Amritsar, January 14
Mohit Shingari, a close aide of the Rana Kandowalia gang, has been sent to four-day police remand and further interrogation was underway to locate his accomplices.
Shingari was arrested yesterday. He was wanted in the Tarn Taran gangwar case that had led to the killing of Dilbagh Singh alias Lamma Patti while another gangster, Akul Khatri, of the Jaggu Bhagwanpuria gang was critically injured.
Kunwar Vijay Partap Singh, IG, STF, said he was the main handler and conspirator in the Tarn Taran gangwar, which took place on the intervening night of 9-10 August 2016. — TNS
