Seminar against feoticide

Mission Aghaaz organised a seminar and a discussion forum against the malpractice of female feoticide at Hari Krishan Nagar here.

As part of its extensive campaigning to save the girl child, the volunteers of Mission Aghaaz, in association with the district administration and the Social Welfare and Child Development Society of Punjab have been actively campaigning in various areas of the city.

Motivating people, especially women, to stand against the crime, various members spoke about the drastic consequences of female feoticide.

There is already a gender-ratio imbalance, due to which more social evils like human trafficking and child marriages are breeding. — TNS
