Amritsar, July 31

A seven-year-old boy, who went missing on Sunday, is still untraceable. The child, identified as Ashok, belongs to a migrant family residing in Nalke Wali Gali of Logarh Gate.

His father Shyam works at a dhaba (eatery) in Gol Bagh. Anjali, his mother, said he went missing while playing in a street nearby on Sunday afternoon. She suspects the role of another migrant who resides nearby. On the complaint of Anjali, the city police have detained the man who is being interrogated.

Sisahpal Singh, in charge of the Durgiana Temple police post, said, “We have interrogated the person, but he seems unaware. Earlier, the same boy had left the house without informing anyone. Later, he was found at the Golden Temple. The family did not inform us on time. We have registered a case and initiated the search.”
