Bhavan’s SL Kala Kendra revisited the melodious era of KL Saigal, who was considered one of the musical legends in the history of Indian cinema, with its cultural musical nite dedicated to the singer. Amritsar born and bred Saigal was remembered through renditions of his popular songs by the duo of popular singers, Bhupinder Singh and Kanwaljit Singh Suri, who belted out classics from the legendary singer composer’s chest of songs.

The Bhavan’s Kala Kendra had also organised Sham-e Qawwali presented by Bhavan’s music team and qawwali group. With a purpose of promoting art and culture through weekly dedicated events and hosting artists for the same, the Kala Kendra will have a line up of events to celebrate famous personalities from the city, informed Ashok Sethi, coordinator, Bhavan’s Kala Kendra.
