An amateur photographer from Barcelona (Spain), Clara Garcia, who has been travelling around Asia, has been organising workshops on creative photography voluntarily. Having finished her seminars in Myanmar and Nepal, her next stop was All India Pingalwara Charitable Society in the city.
The free spirited artist, who says photography is her natural calling, was impressed by the environs of Pingalwara. She conducted a 10-day photography workshop for children of the Bhagat Puran Singh School on the Pingalwara campus.
Her workshop in form of “Bubble project” was fun and educative, besides teaching children basics of photography. “You can teach technical aspects of photography, but the decision to capture the perfect shot has to come from within. I had fun with these children here and the experience was for lifetime,” she said.
While travelling through India, Clara plans to do her next workshop with street children in Jaipur. She says, “Photography is best way to capture the best experiences of my travels.”
Dr Inderjit Kaur congratulated Clara for arranging an educative and creative workshop. While giving information about the forthcoming Punjab Chess Tournament for the deaf children to be held at Pingalwara on January 31, she said as many as 50 deaf children from across Punjab would participate in the event.
Daljit Kaur, Principal, Bhagat Puran Singh School for Deaf, Jai Singh, administrator Pingalwara, Manawala, Rajinder Pal Singh and others were also present on the occasion.
