Amritsar: An annual sports meet was organised at Cambridge International School today. Children performed health and wellness exercises on the occasion. Amardeep Singh Saini, DEO, was the chief guest and Kamaljeet Singh, DTO, guest of honor at the meet. The event started with a prayer to the Almighty followed by a march past and oath-taking ceremony. Students of four houses — Oak, Pine, Cedar and Maple — marched in sync with drumbeats, both in steps and spirit. A torch relay, which included participants at the state and national levels, was also taken out. Students showcased their unity and physical strength in races and relays. The benefits of yoga were exhibited by students. Next in a line was performance of martial arts, including karate, kick-boxing and gatka. Amardeep Singh Saini shared his views with the audience on the occasion. The event concluded with a prize distribution and a vote of thanks by Rohini Arora, academic consultant of the school. — TNS
