Spring Dale first in schools’ rankings

Amritsar: Spring Dale Senior School has been ranked first among co-educational day schools in the city and second among these in the state, in the EducationWorld India School Rankings 2019-20. Rajiv Kumar Sharma, principal of Spring Dale Senior School, Amritsar, said the nation-wide survey of India’s high profile schools was conducted by EducationWorld with C fore, a well-known market research and opinion polls agency. Lecture on Bhagat Singh

Amritsar: The Postgraduate Department of History and Travel and Tourism, DAV College, organised a guest lecture to commemorate 112th birth anniversary of Shaheed Bhagat Singh.  Sayed Irfaan Habib from the National Institute of Science, Technology and Development, New Delhi, was the resource person. Prof Habib advised students to follow the moral values and ethical righteousness of Bhagat Singh. He said Bhagat Singh should not only be remembered on his death and birthday. Moreover, he should not be remembered for his sacrifices but also for his intellectual writings. TNS

Play on JallianWala Bagh 

Amritsar: To observe the centenary of horrific Jallianwala Bagh massacre, students of Shri Ram Ashram Public School, Amritsar, presented a ‘nukkad natak’ at Company Bagh on Sunday. They paid a tribute to the martyrs of that unfortunate day, when British troops led by Reginald Dyer opened fire at a gathering at the Bagh. TNS

Literary society inaugurated
