‘Spy’ pigeon caught

A pigeon, anticipated to be a spy one, was found by Jasbir Singh, former sarpanch of Dayalpur village in Ajnala, at his residence on Wednesday. The pigeon had a ring with a mobile number of Pakistan and a name inscribed on it in Urdu.
Jasbir Singh informed the police and also brought a person knowing Urdu who informed that the name mentioned on the ring was Shakeel.The police have taken the pigeon into custody.
This is not for the first time that a ‘spy’ pigeon has been arrested from the border village in Punjab. Earlier too, similar incidents were reported from the region. Police said they were investigating into it.
