The star cast of the upcoming Punjabi movie, ‘Bailaras’, today visited the city to promote the film.
Speaking about his production house, Naughty Men Production, actor Binnu Dhillon said, “The production house is not just only for making comedy movies. It is for concepts, actors and an effort to take the Punjabi cinema to the next level.” The actor-turned-producer was in the city with his team to promote his first home production movie, which will hit the screen on October 6.
“It is complete a family movie and about the dream of a simple man who finds his true love and keeps his family together, including his tractor ‘Bailaras’,” said Binnu Dhillon. The movie has been directed by Ksshitij Chaudhary.
On being asked about the need to become a producer, the actor said there was a need to ensure quality in the movies and that compelled him to start his own venture. He said, “If you want to make good movies, one has to take a step to create these. A beginning has to be done. There is a need for production houses in the industry.
Denying that he would act only in his home production movies, he said, “This banner is not only for me. It is for everyone. I will not be there in each and every movie made by the production house. The banner is about good concept-driven cinema.”
Punjabi actor Yuvraj Hans, who is also the son of Hans Raj Hans, was also with the crew to promote the movie.
The star cast and crew of the movie, including actors Ravneet, Dev Kharoud and Jaggi Bhullar, talked about the movie and their contribution to the project.
Dev Kharoud said, “We are putting in efforts to promote good movies and we tried to bring something which will be liked by the audience.”
