Station Commander takes charge at IAF station

Group Captain Ran Singh has assumed the charge as Station Commander, Air Force Station, Amritsar Cantonment, here today. He has taken over the charge from Group Caption KD Singh, Station Commander, Air Force Station, here. A formal change of command ceremony was held at the base in consonance with the service traditions and ethos.
Group Captain Ran Singh was commissioned in the IAF as a fighter pilot in December 1992. He is an alumnus of Defence Service Staff College and has completed Master of Philosophy in Defence and Strategic Studies from Osmania University, Hyderabad. During his illustrious career with the IAF, the officer held many important Staff and Command appointments including command of a premier fighter squadron. He has vast experience of flying various combat and training aircraft. Prior to taking over command of 230 SU AF, he had successfully completed the Higher Air Command Course at the College of Air Warfare, informed the Public Relations Department in a statement issued here.
