Vice-Chancellor of Guru Nanak Dev University, Prof AS Brar, released a book titled ‘Punjab ate Kashmir da Raakha Gen Harbaksh Singh’. The book has been authored by Brig Kuldip Singh Kahlon (retd), a writer and member of Guru Nanak Dev University Senate.
Chancellor, Central University of Punjab, Bathinda, Prof SS Johl, dean academic affairs, Prof Paramjit Singh, registrar, Prof Sharanjit Singh Dhillon, and members of Senate were present on the occasion.
The book is a chronicle of a warrior General Harbaksh Singh, who saved Kashmir during historical war against Pakistan.
According to Brig Kahlon, Gen Harbaksh fought many wars with his genius and far-sighted vision. He took wise decisions regarding Srinagar airport and Baramulla sector. Brig Kahlon said, “Gen Harbaksh is respected by Sikh Regiment, the whole Indian Army and former officers, especially natives of Punjab. They feel proud of his achievements.”
Prof Brar also lauded Gen Harbaksh and congratulated Brig Kahlon for penning a book on a great Indian warrior.
