Students jubilant over cracking JEE (Main)

The old adage ‘Winners do not do different things, they do things differently’ is what seems to be the mantra for JEE-Main meritorious students, who expressed their happiness over the feat.

The results of JEE (Main) 2018 was declared on Monday. Kanish Anand from the city has been declared the topper in the district. Along with him, nine other students, belonging to border areas have managed to emerge meritorious in the exam.

“Nine students of our school have cleared the test and have been placed in the category of appearing in JEE (Advance),” informed Jeewan Jyoti Sidana, Managing Director ,Sidana Institutes.

Informing the media about the students, Principal Amarjit Singh, Director Balwinder Singh, Administrator PS Gill along with other staff members felicitated the parents and the students.

In a jubilant mood, the students gave the credit of their success to the hard work of their teachers. “It is all due to the untiring efforts of teachers, parents and the strenuous hard work we had to put in studying for eight to 10 hours daily,” said Tanisha Garg, one of the students.

Kanish Anand, a student of DAV International School, has emerged as the district topper by getting 814th All India Rank in the prestigious JEE (Main). He got 270 marks out of 360. As many as 14 more students of the school added to the glory of the school by getting commendable scores. They are Nikhil Mahajan(190 marks), Saransh Gupta (188 marks), Sanyam Gulati (170 marks), Harleen Singh (156 marks), Siddhant Aggarwal (151 marks), Hardik Bhatia (137 marks), Yatharth Sharma (122 marks), Parth Mahajan (108 marks), Ishaan Salwaan (95 marks), Vansh Joshi (95 marks), Jaipreet Wadhawan (94 marks), Abhishek Bhasin (92 marks), Arjun (88 marks) and Akshi Maheshwari (80 marks).

Principal Anjana Gupta said all of the students would compete in the JEE-Advanced slated for May 20. She said she was overwhelmed over the remarkable performance of her students. Kanish Anand was given Rs 2,100 as prize money
