Students take out rally against evils in society

Students of Khalsa College of Education (KCE), in collaboration with Youth Services, Amritsar, took out a rally against social evils, such as female foeticide, pollution and drug menace, on Thursday. They carried placards with slogans.
The rally was flagged off by Sumit Makkar, Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM)-cum-Secretary, District Legal Services Authority. He said, “Awareness rallies help students become aware of the social evils confronting the society.”
They passed through the GT road and campus. Makkar lauded creative efforts of the management, especially the students, who participated actively.
Principal Dr Harpreet Kaur welcomed the chief guest. She said the motive behind organising the rally was to educate and encourage the people in the society to join hands to look after the ways and means to counter the social evils prevalent in the society and stand firmly against them.
Davinder Singh, Assistant Director, Youth Services, Amritsar, delivered the vote of thanks.
