Sri Sukhmani Sahib Sewa Society, a Sikh religious organisation, celebrated its 50th anniversary by taking out a massive nagar kirtan here on Sunday. Devotees took part in the nagar kritan and listened to Gurbani.
Rajinder Singh Sangha said, “The society has been working tirelessly for propagating the teachings of Sikh Gurus.”
The nagar kirtan was taken out on the occasion passed through various markets. It was led by Panj Piaras under the patronage of Guru Granth Sahib, which was placed in a beautifully decorated palanquin.
Famous raagis Bhai Balwinder Singh Rangila, Bhai Satwinder Singh, Bhai Gajinder Pal Singh, Bhai Sarbjit Singh, Biba Manjit Kaur and others rendered gurbani kirtan. Akal Takht Jathedar Giani Gurbachan also took part in the celebration.
