Summer camp at Bhoewali school

Amritsar: A summer camp was organised at Government Middle School, Bhoewali. A number of activities were held in the school on the first day. School in-charge Ritu said, “The first day of the camp had three sessions. Students were informed about their studies. Activities to boost their self-confidence were also conducted. Physical games and a lecture on moral values were also held.” TNS

International footballer in city

Amritsar: International young footballer Yan Joseph Dhanda, a former England U-17 and Liverpool U-23 attacking midfielder, who is presently playing for Swansea city, visited Sri Guru Teg Bahadur Public School, Khankot, on Saturday. He was here to promote football among rural youth of the state. He motivated aspiring footballers and advised them to maintain good diet with appropriate proportion of proteins, fats and carbohydrates. He also gave advice on training schedule. TNS
