The Tarksheel Society, Punjab, affiliated to the Federation of Indian Rationalist Association (FIRA), conducted a national-level test to check the scientific temperament of students on Sunday. Students in large numbers turned up for the test. Students, like Sharandeep Kaur (Class X), answered questions on basic science, general awareness and societal topics like astrology, existence of God and atma (soul).

The society endeavours to dispel superstitious beliefs, dogmatic thoughts by developing scientific temper among people with various activities. The two-hour test comprised 100 multiple choice questions.
