Teachers of government schools are working to develop basic language skills with the help of multiple activities. These activities include writing on walls, talking in a particular language, interaction with students, along with learning material and books from the department.

Kashmir Singh Gill, a state-award winning teacher, has made a gallery on the premises of his school and walls have been used to depict stories, Hindi grammar and inspiration quotes.

He said, "Such painting activities enhance the grasping ability of the child. It is not only for my Hindi language, but other two as well." These teachers ensure that children learn to speak in all language, especially in English.

DEO Salwinder Singh Samra said, “In schools, block mentors instruct teachers. They have also been giving tips to teachers to help children speak in English. Teachers are also working to help kids build confidence, improve their English speaking skills.” — TNS
