Teachers to file reports online

Amritsar, June 23

The annual confidential report (ACR) of government teachers will now be submitted through an online government portal. A letter issued to the district education officers reads the teachers will have to upload their ACRs from the commencement of service till date in a software, available at ePunjab school portal.

Mangal Singh Tanda, leader of the Government Teachers’ Union, said, “In the past too, there have been issues with the software of the department. However, the good part is that it will help in maintaining the records of the teaching staff in the long run.” Arbinder Kaur, Principal, Government Senior Secondary School, Ram Gate, said, “It is a great initiative. When it comes to promotions, ACR documents play a major role.” — TNS
