The Ministry of Tribal Affairs has put up an exhibition at the Indian Academy of Fine Arts till October 29. The painting exhibition ‘Aadi Chitra’ is a collection of tribal paintings from Tribes India.

Tribes India is a range of showrooms having unique tribal art and craft items being managed by the Tribal Cooperative Marketing Development Federation of India Ltd. (TRIFED). The marketing agency has been organising various exhibitions to improve the livelihoods of the tribal community.

The tribal painting displayed talks about positive aspects in life and subjects such as religious, secular, animals, birds, marriage have been presented with immaculate precision, reflecting the style and culture of respective tribes.

The exhibition presents creative expression of tribal artists belonging to Odisha, Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh. The people visiting the exhibition applauded the efforts of the tribal people. TRIFED had earlier organised a number of exhibitions in other places too.
