Gursimran is a B. Tech. in computer science engineering from Chandigarh Engineering College, Landran. He thanked his teachers, friends, relatives and neighbours for their support and guidance.

A resident of Maqboolpura, Amanpreet Singh got the seventh rank in the reserved category (SCM) in the state. He is B.Tech. engineer in electronics and communications from Thapar University, Patiala. He graduated in 2011. He had also worked in the IBM at Bangalore for a year. He left his job in 2012 to focus on Civil Services. It was his second attempt in the PCS interview.

He had his schooling at Spring Dale Senior School. He recalls the foundation laid during his formative stage by late Madam Manveen Kaur Sandhu and his teachers at the school. He thanked social activist Brij Bedi and his wife Kiran Bedi for motivating him.

His father Ajit Singh and mother Satpal Kaur are both lecturers. His younger brother Harmanpreet Singh is pursuing M.Tech (computer science) at IIT, Kharagpur.

His father along with Brij Bedi is running Citizen’s Forum Vidya Mandir School at Maqboolpura for underprivileged children. So he made most of the opportunity by working for the educational development of these children during his own growing-up years. This prompted him to join Civil Services and he left his job. He wants to work in the field of education even after becoming a civil servant.

He is ready to extend help to all needful aspirants in achieving their career objectives.
