UPSC second ranker to get Prez honour

Anmol Sher Singh Bedi, who stood second in the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) exam, has been invited by President Ram Nath Kovind to honour him for his achievement at Rashtrapati Bhavan on January 26.

A resident of Green Avenue, Bedi has done his B.Tech in computer science from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani, Rajasthan His father Dr Sarabjit Singh Bedi, an academician, said, “It is matter of great pride for the family.”

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
