US varsity signs MoU with local school

Amritsar, August 21

Paragon Public Senior Secondary School, Plah Sahib, Khairabad, Airport Road, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on cooperation in international education programmes (IEP) of University of California, Riverside, extension located at 1200 University Avenue, Riverside, California, USA. The agreement signed with Paragon School for students, faculty and cultural exchanges by Bronwyn Jenkins-Deas, associate dean, IEP, UCR, extension, will be effective until December 31, 2018.

Jaswinder Singh Chhina, general secretary of Paragon Education Society, signed the MoU on behalf of the management of Paragon Public Senior Secondary School. He said soon the school would arrange a study, recreation and cultural exchange tour for students of Paragon School to the USA.

Under the agreement, the school is affiliated to IEP, UCR, extension. It will enable students from the holy city to get involved in the US educational system, besides getting a chance to understand the basic requirements for admission to colleges and universities of California. The MoU will also help to build stronger Indo-American ties.
