The pipe band of the Vancouver police will perform at Guru Nanak Dev University on the occasion of Baisakhi on Saturday. The event is being organised by the Dean Academic Affairs, Prof Sarabjot Singh Behl, with encouragement of Vice-Chancellor Prof Jaspal Singh Sandhu. The objective of this programme is to make students aware of the culture of other countries. City residents have also been invited to be a part of the event that will begin at 3 pm. The Vancouver Police Pipe Band is known for giving a strong live performance at Baisakhi celebrations in Canada. The band will perform under the leadership of Anthony Adam Palmer and Steve Rai under the cultural exchange programme. A Gursikh, Baljinder Singh Dhan, is also a part of that team.
