Phulkari, Women of Amritsar, organised a Classical Hatha Yoga Workshop, The Lavanya on Thursday. The event was dedicated to explore the science of well-being.
Trainers, Bhiravi and Harmeet from Guru Yoga Hatha Yoga, Ludhiana, trained at the Isha Hatha School of Yoga, helped the audience to focus on their skills of maintaining and enhancing ‘peace of mind’.
While sharing her experience Bhairavi said, “I have the privilege to be a part of such tradition, in which we can contribute to the society with an aim of attaining peace of mind.”
“We also have multiple asanas to treat different diseases, techniques to beat drug addiction, and for a relaxed mind,” added Bhairavi. The workshop taught the audience basics of various aspects of yoga such as Pranayama, Mantra Yoga and Kriya.
Phulkari works for the betterment of society through various activities performed. It is meant to learn something from all phases of life. Our primary aim is to do something help people realise that Amritsar city also have the plenty of opportunities,” said Parneet Babbar, president of Phulkari.
“This was a great experience. We got to learn about variety of issues,” said Kavita Kahlon, member of Phulkari.
