Youth booked for creating fake ID of girl on internet

The Sultanwind police have booked a youth, identified as Gurminder Singh of Kurlian village, on charges of stalking a girl and creating her fake ID on a famous social networking site. He is yet to be arrested.
The victim told the police that the accused was her classmate. She said he had taken her mobile phone and took out its memory card. She alleged whenever she demanded it back, he did not listen and started dilly-dallying on the matter.
She alleged the accused later opened her fake account on a social networking site and uploaded her morphed pictures. She said she came to know about this when she started getting some objectionable messages. She said when she asked him about this, he started threatening her.
Balwinder Singh, the investigating officer, said a case under Sections 379, 354-D and 506 of the IPC and Section 66 of the Information Technology Act had been registered against Gurminder Singh. He said further investigations were under progress while the accused was yet to be arrested.
