Sculptures made in bronze, paintings depicting compassion, love and feminine grace, photographs showing interesting sights — these all were part of an art exhibition put up a group of artists at Gallery Artmosphere here today.
The works by Sahil Sharma, who organised the exhibition, Saru S and others showcased their skills and imagination.
Delhi-based Prince Chand presented Buddha in a mystical way, while paintings by Saru S showed the equation between man and nature through various symbols.
Sahil Jain’s paintings explored the psychological “masks” people put on, while Shruti Shrivastav, a designer, presented her semi-realistic works in water colour. Besides presenting human emotions using charcoal, she also presented in water colour the sight of a vegetable seller.
Anu Puri’s floral paintings were painted in oils. “Flowers bring delight to one and all, irrespective of the age. So I have brought the details of flowers on canvas. Like flowers, I want these paintings to be a source of happiness for everyone,” she said.
Delhi-based artist Austin Konchira’s expertise became obvious in bright and interesting works in acrylic, based on various tribal designs.
Photographer Nik Pillai’s photographs captured landscapes, while Lalita Kataria paintings were a combination of acrylics and clay work on different themes.
Shruti Jindal’s work with coloured pencils was about still life.
Prateek Sohal, a Class XI student, too, presented his works. “It is a learning experience to showcase my work in an exhibition along with senior artists,” said the debutant.
