He said infrastru-cture and facilities for tourists and nature lovers need to be expanded and strengthened.

The Governor inspected the artificial lake and told the officials to set up a glass house on the banks of the lake for tourists and said solar power should be used for good lighting.

The Governor witnessed the entire surroundings by a chairlift and saw the snow-clad peaks from the ITBP glass house

Paul said inadequate snowfall in the area this year was a result of global warming and climate change. He interacted with tourists at Auli and found that their response to the place was quite enthusiastic.

Earlier, the Governor was welcomed by ITBP personnel. He was presented a memento by them.

The Governor was accompanied on his visit by OSD and secretary to the Governor Arun Dhaundiyal and ADC Janmejaya Khanduri.
