School girls led by members of Lions Club, Dehradun, held an awareness march on Save Girl, Educate Girl in Dehradun on Tuesday.
The rally was organised to spread awareness in society about protecting the girl child and educate her to create a better nation.
Earlier, the rally was flagged off by chief guest LM Jakhwal at Gandhi Park. Members of Lions Club and students of Fool Chand Nari Shilp Mandir Inter-College held a march towards Paltan Market. Girls held banners with motivational quotes and raised slogans on Save Girl Child.
RK Goswami, PS Bhatnagar, Rajeev Nagiya and PL Seth were present on the occasion.
