Ayushi Singla of the Department of Physics has earned a rare feat while winning five awards in the Panjab University convocation held recently.
She has won a university gold medal for standing first in MSc (Honour School) Physics. She also got Sh & Smt Khushi Ram Kahol Memorial Gold Medal. This award is given to student who gets first position in the first attempt on completion of MSc programme in the Physics Department.
Besides, she also got the Sh & Smt Khushi Ram Kahol Memorial Gold Medal as well as cash prize of Rs 1,000 for obtaining highest marks in Experimental Techniques in Condensed Matter Physics in MSc (Honour School) Physics. She also got the Principal Jai Kishan cash prize of Rs 1,000.
“I am pursuing PhD under teh supervision of Prof Manjit Kaur in Experimental High Energy Physics. I am part of CMS collaboration, CERN, Geneva Switzerland. This is the same research organisation that discovered God particle - Higgs Boson in 2012,” said Ayushi.
