Dehradun, January 19
Activists of the Bajrang Dal, the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and the Kashmiri Sabha held a demonstration in front of the District Magistrate office here today in protest against forcible migration of Kashmiri Pandits from Kashmir. The activists of the Hindu organisations protested as part of Black Day being observed by them in support of Kashmiri Pandits.
Earlier, members of the Bajrang Dal, the VHP and the Kashmiri Sabha gathered at Deen Dayal Upadhyay Park and marched towards the District Magistrate office. They were demanding rehabilitation of Kashmiri Pandits in the Kashmir valley. President of the Kashmiri Sabha Suresh kumar said terrorists forced Hindus of Kashmir to leave their hearths and homes during 1989 and 1990. District coordinator of the Bajrang Dal Amit Tomar said it was time to rehabilitate Kashmiri Pandits again in the Valley. The protesters later gave a memorandum of demands to the District Magistrate.
Chandragupt Vikram, Suresh Kumar, Ashok Kol, Ramesh Miya, Reeta Goyal and Sudha Bhatt took part in the protest.
