13 SHOs shifted in major police reshuffle in dist

BATHINDA: The district police chief today effected major changes at police stations.

The district police chief today effected major changes at police stations. As many as 13 SHOs have been shifted to different police stations in the district.

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Swapan Sharma has sent four station house officers (SHOs) to the Police Lines and other SHOs in the district have also been shifted to other places.

SHO at the Canal Colony police station, inspector Rajesh Kumar, has been transferred as SHO, Thermal police station.

Inspector Gurdev Singh Bhalla, who was in-charge of the election cell BPO, has been appointed as SHO, Canal Colony police station.

SHO at the Thermal police station, inspector Jagjit Singh, has been transferred as SHO, Phul police station.

SHO at Sangat police station, Aman Trikha, has been transferred as SHO, Cantonment police station.

Inspector Paramjit Singh, who was deputed as additional in-charge of the election cell BPO has been appointed as SHO, Sangat police station.

SHO at the Cantonment police station, Abhinav Chauhan, has been shifted to the Police Lines.

SHO at Kotfatta police station, Krishan Kumar, has been shifted to the Police Lines.

Parminder Singh, deputed as in-charge of the special staff, has been appointed as SHO, Kotfatta police station.

SHO at the Nandgarh police station, Harjinder Singh, has been shifted to the Police Lines.

Bikramjit Singh, who was deputed at the EO women’s wing in Bathinda, has been transferred as SHO, Nandgarh police station.

Inspector Rachpal Singh, who was at police line, has been appointed as SHO Maur police station.

Inspector Shiv Chand, who was Maur SHO, has been transferred to the Police Lines, Bathinda.

Inspector Angrej Singh, who was deputed at the police training school, Police Lines, has been appointed as SHO, Nathana.

It is learnt that the Maur SHO has been sent to the Police Lines due to the slow probe in the Maur blast incident.

The Kotfatta SHO has been sent to the Police Lines due to poor handling of a case in which a grandmother killed two grandchildren.

Change of government in the state is also the reason behind the reshuffle.

A senior police official, on condition of anonymity, said the reshuffle was necessary.

“We are hopeful that the change will help us in serving the public in a better way,” he added.
