132 patients undergo check-up at medical camp

Goodwill Society, a local NGO, organised a free medical camp for patients suffering from heart ailments and various forms of cancer. The camp, held with the help of Medanta hospital, was held at Goodwill Hospital in Paras Ram Nagar, where as many as 132 patients underwent a check-up by the doctors.
Chief Judicial Magistrate Dr Mandeep Mittal and secretary, District Legal Service Authority, Bathinda, was the chief guest at the medical camp. He was felicitated by Vijay Kumar Bareja, president of Goodwill Society and members of his team. Nand Lal Chhabra and Ramesh Kumar Chhabra were the special guests at the camp.
President of the NGO Vijay Bareja said 132 patients underwent a check-up by a team of doctors led by Dr Arun Kumar Garg (cardiologist) and Dr Kaushal Narang (oncologist).
Lab tests, ECG, tests for determining cancer and X-rays were done free of cost.
This was the 19th such camp organised by the NGO, said Bareja.
General secretary of the NGO KR Jindal, vice-president Munni Lal Jindal, finance secretary Satya Narayan Khandelwal, Krishan Kumar Bareja and Diwan Chand Pawar were also present at the camp.
