3 get life in jail for murder

The court of Additional Sessions Judge Lalit Kumar Singla has awarded life imprisonment to three brothers for murdering a youth at Nandgarh Kotra village in Bathinda district. The accused had also been ordered to pay a fine of Rs 1 lakh each.

As per the available information, accused Gurvinder Singh, Sarabjit Singh and Harpreet Singh, residents of Nandgarh Kotra, had killed a youth Ram Singh (30) on May 3, 2016.

Darshan Singh, the father of the deceased, had given a statement to the Ballianwali police that accused Gurwinder Singh had rammed his motorcycle in his son Ram Singh and even beat him up. Later, when he, along with his son Ram Singh went to the accused to ask why he did so, instead of listening to them, Gurwinder and his brother attacked Ram Singh with sharp-edged weapons and killed him.
