Passenger train 54641 Delhi-Ferozepur Cantt and express train 14526 Sriganganagr-Ambala Cantt Intercity express have also been cancelled.

Besides, 24888 Barmer-Haridwar Link Express, which is not running in Haridwar-Kalka section, will resume its service on January 24.

On the other hand, a majority of the trains are running behind their schedule time-table. Among them are 15910 Avadh-Assam Express, 14732 Fazilka-Delhi Intercity Express, 14712 Sriganganagar-Haridwar Express, 19024 Firozpur Cantt-Mumbai Central Janata Express and 12481 Delhi-Sriganganagar Intercity Express. These were delayed by more than seven hours.

Kamal Garg, a passenger, said, “Despite clear weather in the region for the past many days, long route trains are constantly running behind schedule. Besides, there are no proper sitting arrangements for the passengers at the railway station here.”

Railway officials said the trains are running behind schedule due to operational constraints and weather conditions in some parts of the country.

On lack of sitting arrangements at the station, they said they were doing their best to accommodate maximum passengers.
