420 bottles of illicit liquor seized

Police have seized 420 bottles of illicit liquor of a country-made brand, Mota Santra, contained in 35 boxes.

Police received a tip-off about a person carrying a huge consignment of illicit liquor in the car, after which a barricade was laid at Tungwali village. Seeing the police, the accused Jagdish Kumar, a resident of Tungwali village, fled from the spot leaving behind 35 boxes of illicit liquor.

Police have booked the accused under sections 61, 1 and 14 of the Excise Act at Nathana police station.
