Central University of Punjab has received more than 61,000 applications for various masters and doctoral programmes through CUCET (Central University Common Entrance Test) 2019.
Kanwal Pal Singh, controller of examinations, said, “A total of 53,144 students applied in various masters’ programmes and 8,819 students applied in doctoral programmes through CUCET 2019. CUP has invited applications for 1,090 seats in its 42 master level programmes and 138 seats in 28 Ph D programmes in academic session 2019-20.”
Vice-Chancellor Professor RK Kohli said, “The increase in student’s interest to study at the Central University of Punjab is the result of high-quality teaching and research exposure provided by our qualified faculty and well-trained staff.”
He added that CUP has registered maximum research output as compared to other newly established central universities which motivate youngsters to join Ph D programme here.
As per the university’s admissions section, candidates who have applied with CUP through CUCET 2019 can download their admit card from May 10 onwards by visiting CUCET official website www.cucetexam.in. The examination will be held on May 25 and 26 and result for CUCET 2019 will be declared on June 21.
