75 students honoured during annual function of SSD Girls’ Group of Colleges

Bathinda, April 8

The SSD Girls’ Group of Colleges organised its annual function on the campus today. Finance Minister Manpreet Singh Badal presided over the function as the chief guest .

President of SSD Sabha Ahbey Singla, chairman Nand Lal Garg and college president Som Nath Bhagla welcomed the chief guest. The programme was inaugurated by the lighting of traditional lamp and ‘Ganesha Vandana’. 

A total of 27 students of the SSD Group of Colleges got merit positions in exam.

In his address, chief guest Manpreet Badal motivated the students to participate actively in academic as well as co-curricular activities. 

Around 75 students were honoured at the function for performing well in curricular as well as co-curricular activities. Mamta was adjudged the best NSS cadet while Narinder Kaur was declared the best NCC cadet and Mannu Tulli was the best YRC cadet. 

Students presented gidhha and received appreciation from the audience. 

College principal Dr. Parminder Kaur Tanghi presented the annual report of the college. 

Students sung a patriotic song on the occasion. SSD Women Institute’s principal Manisha Bhatnagar read out the annual report of the institute. Anu Malhotra, principal of the SSD Girls’ College of Education for Women, also presented the report of her college. Students 

SSD Girls’ College’s Harmanjot Kaur bagged the university colour. Shilpa Singla won the college colour of SSD Girls’ College. Geetika and Gifty from SSDWIT bagged the institute colour. Payal Garg from the SSD Girls’ College of Education won the top honour of the college. 

The stage was conducted by Dr Usha Sharma, Kamna Rawat and Maninder Kaur.
