Annual Virasat Mela begins today

The Malwa Heritage Foundation will host its annual Virasat Mela from February 26 to 28 at Jaipalgarh village in Bathinda.
Announcing the details today and releasing the poster of the mela, president of the Malwa Heritage Foundation, Harvinder Khalsa said the 12th Virasat Mela would be dedicated to Jagdev Singh Jassowal.
The poster was released by Zila Parishad chairman Gurpreet Singh Maluka, Mayor Balwant Rai Nath, Senior Deputy Mayor Tarsem Goyal, Deputy Mayor Gurinderpal Kaur Mangat and Harvinder Singh Khalsa.
Khalsa said on the first day of the mela, a procession would begin from Gurdwara Hajiratan and would make its way through various roads and markets of the city, before finally concluding at Jaipalgarh village.
He said on all three days of the mela, cultural activities such as group dance, solo dance, group and solo singing performances would be presented by artistes.
