Dr Jyoti Soni from Faridkot has won the Mrs India 2019 contest. She was crowned at an event organised in Chandigarh on August 31.
Dr Soni competed with participants from Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Chandigarh tricity. A homeopath doctor by profession, Dr Soni took part in the beauty pageant for the first time.
The beauty pageant for Mr, Miss and Mrs India was organised by Imperial Glitz Private Limited, a non-profit company.
Dr Soni, who has done a lot of work on autism, said it was her childhood passion to walk the ramp. As I was busy in making career and looking after my family, I decided to give a shot to my childhood dream now, she said.
She has also been bestowed with a special award for her work on autism. I wanted to work for autistic children, giving them Homoeopathic treatment and make them able to join the mainstream society.
