Book exhibition opens at Central University of Punjab

A two-day book exhibition was inaugurated at the Central University of Punjab here today by Prof Gurmail Singh, vice-chancellor, Akal University, Talwandi Sabo.
Twenty five book vendors and five leading publishers like Cambridge University Press, Pearson, McGraw-Hill, Ebsco and Sage have displayed more than 50,000 books and their latest publications in several disciplines like humanities, social sciences, engineering, medicine and biological sciences.
Students of the university took keen interest in the book exhibition and selected books for the university library in varied disciplines. Several people from the city and neighbouring areas, including faculty members of Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University, Bathinda, and local colleges, visited the exhibition. Visitors, students and faculty were excited to find such a wide variety of books in different languages at one place. For many of them, this was an inspiring experience.
