Children add colour to Janmashtami celebrations across city schools

The children of different schools across the city dressed up in different mythological characters to mark the celebrations of Lor Krishna’s birthday.

MHR school

The Krishan Janamashtami was celebrated with great pomp and show at the MHR Vidya Mandir High School, Ganesh Nagar. The students of LKG, UKG and 1st standard performed dance on songs. Principal of MHR Senior Secondary School, Sunita Singla shared the significance of the festival of Janamashtami.

Playway Daddy’s Teddy

To mark the festival of ‘Janamashtmi’, birthday of lord Krishna was celebrated at play school Daddy’s Teddy in Jhujjar Singh Nagar on Saturday. All children came in traditional dresses; few children donned attires of Krishna and Radha. The school was decorated in different colours and hues. The children danced on songs of Krishna. A ‘Matki-phod’ event was also organised to celebrate birthday of ‘Bal gopal’. Towards the end, the principal narrated some interesting stories of lord Krishna.

Playway Bachpan

The children of playway school Bachpan, along with teachers, celebrated Janamashtmi with great enthusiasm. The school principal, Palak Jaura, shared tales of lord Krishna and his incarnation which were eagerly listened by the children. ‘Raasleela’ was also performed by children to make them better understand the life and significance of lord Krishna’s character.

SS Jain Sabha school

The children here celebrated the festival of Janamashtmi with fervour. The children participated in the celebrations with great zeal. The children also donned dresses of lord Krishna and Radha and gave fascinating performance.
