City students shine in JEE Main

Many students from the city have performed well in the JEE Main examination, the results of which were declared today.

Harsh Garg has topped the city among the students whose results were known till late in evening.

Harsha scored 260 marks followed by Jitesh Singla (259), Umang (250), Anmol Sinh (249), Ritsh Goyal (247), Anmol Kansal (232), Arshpreet Singh (226), Chandan (220), Ramanpreet Kaur (212), Harsaroor Sohal (201), Dishika (184), Raman Tayal (169), Ashutosh (143), Arshdeep (142), Jatin (128), Payal (102), Simarprit Singh Brar (101) and Jaspreet (94).

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.

The Tribune, the largest selling English daily in North India, publishes news and views without any bias or prejudice of any kind. Restraint and moderation, rather than agitational language and partisanship, are the hallmarks of the newspaper. It is an independent newspaper in the real sense of the term.

The Tribune has two sister publications, Punjabi Tribune (in Punjabi) and Dainik Tribune (in Hindi).
