Bathinda, July 20
Dr Mandeep Mittal, CJM/Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Bathinda, visited Old Age Home today.
The CJM met elderly people living in the old age home. They told the CJM that they were living in very good condition and were not facing any problem. He apprised them of the rights of old-age people and Senior Citizen Act.
“If they have already transferred their property in the name of their children, they can take it back,” he said.
He informed them about the various schemes run by NALSA. Later, the CJM met abandoned people at the railway station and heard their problems. Some of them were
handicapped. He asked some persons to get artificial hand/foot implanted if they required. They could contact the CJM and arrangements for their treatment would be done, he said.
