CUP ranked 95th in NIRF rankings

BATHINDA: The Central University of Punjab (CUP) has got the 95th rank in the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) rankings declared recently.

The Central University of Punjab (CUP) has got the 95th rank in the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) rankings declared recently.

The parameters taken into consideration for ranking were teaching, learning, resources, research, professional practices, graduation outcome, outreach and inclusivity and perception of the academic institutions. As many as 4,867 institutions participated in NIRF India Ranking 2019.

CUPB came out on top among the newly established Central Universities of India participated in NIRF India Rankings 2019. The Ministry of Human Resource Development released NIRF India ranking 2019 on higher education institutions performance during an award ceremony organised this week. Started in 2015, NIRF outlines a methodology to rank educational institutes across the country.

Professor SS Johl, Chancellor of CUPB, congratulated the university faculty members, staff and students on this achievement.
