District-level traditional school competitions get underway

The district-level traditional school competitions got underway at Teacher’s Home today. The competition is dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the Punjab state.
MLA Sarup Chand Singla was the chief guest at the inaugural function. He inspired the students to promote the rich cultural and tradition of the state.
On the first day of the competition, as many as 14 teams of the middle section and 81 teams of the secondary section participated in the competitions of handwriting, slogan writing, painting, model making, chorography and essay writing.
Day 1 results
In the secondary section, Navjot Kaur and Sumandeep Kaur of Jassi Paowali bagged the first position in model making while Veerpal Kaur and Davinder Kaur of Balianwali stood second and Mandeep Singh and Navjeet Singh of Nandgarh got the third position.
In the middle section, Harnoor Kaur and Parveen of Jassi Paowali bagged the first position in the model making competition.
Gagandeep Kaur and Simranjit Kaur of Kotfatta stood second and Maninder Singh and Sukhveer Singh of Nandgarh bagged the third position.
In the senior section, Baljinder Kaur of Rampura bagged the first prize in the essay writing competition. Sarabjit Kaur of Kalyan Sukha stood second while Sukhmandeep Kaur of Bathinda got the third position.
In middle section, Naman of Bathinda got the first position while Dhanvir Kumar of Mandi Kalan stood second. Kamaljit Kaur bagged the third position.
In the secondary section, Harpreet Singh of Chak Fateh Singhwala got the first position in the painting and poster making competition. Anika Garg of Bathinda got the second postion and Sunita Devi of Kothe Natha Singh stood third.
In the junior category, Lajit Kaur of Chak Ram Singhwala bagged the first position while Arshdeep Singh stood second and Harman of Bathinda stood third.
In the senior section, Sukhdarshan Singh of Nandgarh got the first position the slogan writing.
