Hopes of girls studying in Classes XI and XII at government, Adarsh and model schools of having covered under the state’s Mai Bhasgo Scheme may be granted as the state education department has shot of letters to all the district education departments directed them to compile data of the beneficiaries of the Mai Bhago Scheme in their respective districts.

In a letter further issued by the District Education Department to heads and in-charges of all government, Adarsh and model schools in the district, the department has asked for the data of the girl students of Classes XI and XII studying in these schools to be covered under the Mai Bhago Scheme of the state government and to be given free bicycles for the academic session 2015-16.

The schools heads have also been asked to make sure that they compile the data of only those girls who have not been covered under the scheme earlier. In case, more than one girl from the same family are studying in the same school in Classes XI and XII, both may be covered under the scheme in the same year. The Aadhaar card number of all the beneficiaries will also have to be noted by the schools heads.

The principals have also been entrusted with the task of submitting records pertaining to the delivery of the cycles at the school and distribution of the cycles among the beneficiaries.

The school heads will also have to maintain data while taking the delivery of cycles from the firms. At the time of the delivery of the cycles, the school heads will have to collect the name of the company, batch number of the cycles delivered for their respective schools, the date of delivery and number of cycles delivered along with special comments pertaining to the quality of the cycles.
