Facing power cuts? Dial toll-free number 1912

BATHINDA: The Electricity Department has started a toll free helpline number for its consumers, so now when you have any complaint regarding power cut, fault in meter or metre-reading, fluctuation in voltage, sparkles in transformer or any accident related with electricity, you should dial 1912.

The Electricity Department has started a toll free helpline number for its consumers, so now when you have any complaint regarding power cut, fault in meter or metre-reading, fluctuation in voltage, sparkles in transformer or any accident related with electricity, you should dial 1912.

XEN, PSPCL, Bathinda city, Hardeep Singh Sidhu, said the department had started toll free helpline 1912. People should inform immediately if there is any issue regarding power compliant.

He said last night, there was power complainant at bank colony and a resident of the area was calling the officer directly and when checked their was no compliant on this toll free number, due to which their was delay in repair.

He said, “Sometimes, there is some power fault in some area, people do not complaint due to which we are not able to rectify the fault, the fault which was to be sorted in 5 to 10 minutes take long and people had remain without power for long as if don’t have any information regarding fault.

He stated that the employees are working round-the-clock even at night to resolve any issue. “So, I appeal to people to lodge complainant on the toll free number as even they get the message of their complaint on their phone as everything has gone online and we have to rectify the fault at the earliest.”
