The accused have been booked under Sections 302 and 148 of the IPC under public pressure, following the death of one of their friends, Sarabjit Singh.

The family members said the accused and the victim were fast friends and the latter died as he lost his grip on a rope, which he was using to remain in the water tank.

They said all the boys had gone to take bath in a storage water tank in agricultural fields of one of the accused boys.

The family members, demanding a fair probe into the incident, said the case should be investigated without any pressure. — TNS
