Four bank managers, secretary of Cooperative Bank booked for fraud

Cooperative Bank authorities have detected a scam at the Sandoha village branch of the bank. As per the information available, former managers in conveyance of secretary of the branch had created fake accounts on the name of the farmers. Economic Offence Wing (EOW) carried out the investigations into the matter on the complaint of the farmer Bogha Singh, a resident of Sandoha village.
In a complainant lodged by Bogha Singh, he stated that former bank managers of cooprative bank branch of Sandoha Paramjit Singh, Hakam Singh, Sher Singh, Sukhdarshan Singh along with Gurjant Singh, secretary Sandoha cooperative society had done fraud by making fake accounts on the name and had also issued cheque books on their name.
Police officials are tight-lipped over the issue and appear to be covering this issue. SHO Maur Sandeep Singh said, “We have registered a case against all the five accused under Sections 406, 419, 420, 465, 467, 471 and 120 B. He stated that he doesn’t know further about this case as DSP (D) Gurmail Singh and EO wing has done inquiry into this case.
DSP (D) Gurmail Singh said he had inquired into this case, but he doesn’t remember about the case at present.
