Bathinda, May 4
Four persons were killed and several injured in six road accidents which took place in different parts of Bathinda in the last 24 hours.
The police have started a probe in these matters after the registration of cases at various police stations. Jaspal Singh, a resident of Jandawala village, lodged a complaint at the Thermal police station that he was going with his friend Ramandeep Singh, a resident of Jandawala village, on motorcycle when a canter hit them, leading to Ramandeep Singh’s on-the-spot death and the Thermal police booked Veer Chand, a canter driver. In another accident, Mandeep Singh, a resident of Deep Singh Wala village in Faridkot district, lodged a complaint with the Talwandi Sabo police station that he, along with his relative Jagtar Singh, was going on an Innova car and Gurpreet Singh, a resident of Golewala village, who was driving the car rammed the vehicle into a trolley from rear near Natheha village. As a result, Jagtar Singh was killed on the spot. The Talwandi Sabo police booked driver Gurpreet Singh.
On the other hand, Inderjeet Singh, a resident of Chak Ruldu Singh Wala village, lodged a complaint at the Sangat police station that his brother Khusdeep Singh was going on scooter and a tractor (PB-03-C-3412) hit him, leading to Khusdeep Singh’s on-the-spot death.
On Friday morning, a truck crushed a motorcycle-borne person on the Barnala bypass. The victim has been identified as Manpreet Singh, a resident of Lehra Khana village, was killed on the spot.
The police have started a probe into this matter.
In another accident, Pardeep Kumar and his wife Beena Rani, residents of Ganesha Basti, were seriously injured as a school bus hit the scooter they were riding.
